my to-do lists usually have things like “check that email” and “fill out that form I was supposed to do in november” and “maybe you should do your homework once in a while” so now I am making a better to-do list
- spend more time in moleskines
- knit more, doodle more, use my hands to make beautiful things more
- wear high-waisted skirts more often
- spend less time on the internet
- spend more time with friends
- when I am on the internet, I should create as much as I consume
- use more poetic language
- stop being so damn shy
- tell everyone I love that I love them
- use quality pens instead of mechanical pencils
- remind myself every day why I do the things I do
- if I don’t remember why I do something, I should do something else instead
- go to yoga more regularly
- sleep better
- help more people with more things in more ways
- participate in conversations (of the class sort and of the regular sort)
- make more music
- spend more time doing absolutely nothing
- worry less
- write more
- smile more (this will help combat my chronic bitch-face)
- make better choices this weekend
- if the only reason I don’t want to do something is because I am nervous or too tired, I should do it anyway no less than half of the time but no more than 75% of the time (this is stretching myself while still taking care of myself and is very important)
- do these things and eventually feel more fulfilled.
- soon it will be spring again
